The Tippitoes walker is bright, fun and folds up easily for flattish storage. It has a detachable car dashboard play tray (if you put batteries in, lights flash and it makes a noise - though Emma seems perfectly happy without, as are we. . . ) with steering wheel, horn, gearstick and other irresistible gadgety extras.
At seven months, Emma's feet just about touch the floor in the lowest of the adjustable seat settings, and she hasn't yet worked out how to use the walker to move herself around though likes it a lot when other people push her (especially her big sister, who has tested it out too and actually would quite like it for herself).
It makes an excellent, safe place to sit Emma and gives her a slightly different perspective on the world.
As she gets a bit bigger, I'm assuming she'll learn to use leg-power to enable locomotion - the design means that it moves smoothly, it's very stable, it has no sharp corners for bashing furniture/walls/other children, and is unlikely to break any speed limits - though obviously you need to use common sense and avoid stairs.
If Emma is anything like her sister developmentally, it will be quite some time before she's walking so I'd expect to get a good few months' use out of it and it's a welcome addition to the household.
The only negative I can think of is that it was a bit of a pain to put together, with the instructions and diagrams severely testing my patience (unless you're a flatpack genius I'd advise putting it together after your children have gone to bed if you want to stand a chance of getting it done and holding on to sanity - perhaps that's where I went wrong?)
