The LeapPad Platinum has been a huge success with Harriet aged six in April. She loves the fact that she can control everything herself and is really happy to spend time exploring the games and apps. The fact that the Wi-Fi is with Kid-Safe Web, this means we have no worries about what she may access. The the protected web-browser has masses of age appropriate videos and more all reviewed or approved by learning experts.
Ten apps are included with the LeapPad Platinum. One of Harriet's favourites is the Photo app where you can take photos or selfies and then manipulate the images and she really loves the cooking game as well as the clean the planet recycling one.
This seven inch tablet can be used to play with a friend and lots more games are available to buy online although to be fair, Harriet is quite happy with what the LeapPad Platinum came with.
The tablet has a shatter-safe screen and a wraparound bumper to safeguard it in case of accidental drops. Another important factor is the five hour battery life which makes it great for use when travelling.
The LeapPad Platinum Tablet is designed for children aged from three to nine years. Harriet, in the middle of the age range, is really engaged with the tablet even though she does have access to to an iPad, so the child-friendly one scores well. For parents there's the reassurance of being able to control all the settings and even the length of time your child spends on the device.
