This is a story about a child, Jo, discovering different ways to see and describe the colours he sees around him. Led by his artist friend, Mo, he is encouraged to express and explore his thoughts and observations in a unique and imaginative way.
I like the idea behind this book and its illustrations are charming and colourful. It would be most suited for children between the ages of five and seven years old. It is a book which requires and inspires lots of interesting conversations and, as a teacher, I would find this a good accompaniment when teaching colour mixing to young children. It is worth noting, however, that a bit of extra prompting might be needed for some children from their adult reader to fully grasp some of the more abstract ideas in the story.
