Egg Bods are quirky little wind up characters with
mix and match heads and
arms. There are
eight collectable characters, each with their own individual
background stories on eggbods.com. The
Egg Bods are well made plastic
egg shaped characters that can be
wound up to walk and swing their arms. Children can
swap the heads, arms and accessories of each
Egg Bod to make their own
creation.
Sandy (aged four) was lucky enough to be given
four Egg Bods to review:
Captain Hardboiled (the pirate egg);
Crack Commando (the soldier egg);
Eggalina Ballerina (the dancer egg) and
Nurse Eggwhite (the medical egg). The cute
colourful design definitely
appealed to Sandy and his baby sister, Betty (aged one). They were both
excited to get them out of the box. And they both loved watching the
Egg Bods race across the table. The detachable arms and accessories are small, so
closely supervised play only for little Betty.
Sandy’s
favourite character was
Captain Hardboiled the pirate. When asked what
he liked about them he said, “I like to
change their heads and make them look silly”.
However once his
initial interest waned Sandy’s play with
Egg Bods has been rather limited. They still
provide a lot of
temptation to Betty though and I’m sure Sandy will
rediscover them soon.
At £4.99
Egg Bods do make a reasonable
chocolate free alternative Easter gift.
