There's something wonderful about giving a toddler their own "first baby" and the Little BABY Born® dolls from Zapf Creations are perfect for this.
The Little BABY born® dolls are 36 cms in height and are suitable for toddlers aged one plus, so perfect for a first birthday or Christmas present. The dolls – a baby boy and a baby girl – come with a nappy, bowl, feeding spoon, bottle, dummy – and a potty! Fill the bottle with clean tap water, sit the baby on the potty, so he can feed and pee at the same time.
The dummy, I prefer comforter, is attached to the outfit. Insert into baby's mouth (this is quite hard so a little one may need a hand here) turn one way and the doll's eyes close, the other and they open. Hence they can sit up with closed eyes and vice versa.The mechanism is controlled by magnets and little Lizzie discovered that she can operate the dummy function without inserting by just holding it near to the mouth.
Lizzie, 18 months, adored her baby boy on sight. He's called, predictably, Baby. She's sat him on the potty but we haven't tried the feeding and peeing trick yet. Most of all she loves cuddling him and pushing him around in a doll's buggy.
Dolls are great for imaginative and creative play. My older granddaughter, now a young teenager, loved the BABY born® dolls she had and she was soon "helping" her little sister with our new addition to the family.
