Loop EarplugsIn perfect timing for World Hearing Day (3 March), National Sleep Awareness Month (March) and travel season, Loop Earplugs has introduced its limited-edition Iridescent earplugs.

These arrived at the perfect time for me as the noise from roadworks outside had hit maximum irritation point. As soon as I inserted the Loop earplugs my sanity was restored. Perfect for working as I could still hear the telephone ring so wasn't cut off completely.

The new range of finishes to the Loop Experience collection block out 18dB of sound to do exactly what they say on the tin – still experience your surroundings while protecting ears, making them ideal for:

Focus – Allowing wearers to tune in and out of teammates and colleagues, still hearing everything around them in the office, just at a lower volume to maintain concentration

Noise sensitivity – Taking the edge off of harsh and distracting sounds while remaining engaged   Music and events – Enjoying festivals, nights out and gigs while protecting ears, saying goodbye to ringing ears at the end of a night

Motorcycling – Protecting ears from loud engines while staying alert

Sleep – Adding a layer of zen to get a good night’s sleep, wherever

Travel – Blocking out the noise of aeroplane engines, screaming bundles of joy and commuters’ phone calls

Loop aims to change the stigma around wearing earplugs, with us being happy to wear glasses to protect our eyesight and SPF to protect our skin but embarrassed to wear earplugs to the likes of a festival to protect our hearing.

The brand’s survey results even found that 59 per cent of people with noise sensitivity said they’d remove themselves from a loud environment. The British Medical Journal also reported that over one billion young people are at risk of hearing loss from live music.

With this in mind, the Experience collection has two limited edition Iridescent finishes added. Coming from the Latin for "rainbow", the newest Iridescent release aims to inspire users to experience "the full spectrum of sound and colour’" In both Dark and Light varieties, both feature an iridescent finish that reflects light.

These earplugs are comfortable to wear and have a smart, discreet case so you can have them with you all the time to use when necessary.
