New skincare range by Normandie

Normandie Keith is Beauty Editor on You Magazine and has created this range of products bare faced cheek facial wipes, amazing day cream and diamond scrub -  in order to “give your face an everyday radiance fit for an Oscar winning princess” (according to the copy on the diamond scrub tube).

The first thing that struck me is the Normandie  packaging. It is incredibly pink and “girly”. It feels as though these products are targeted at young women, even teenagers. I would have been very unlikely to have selected them based on the packaging and I am put off by the suggestion that I should “think of my face as a unique canvas… that will capture and harness all the best things”.

After using the diamond scrub, my skin feels very soft. The exfoliant is easy to use but it does have an overly-perfumed smell and the pale pink/white scrub appears to have glitter in it.

The bare faced cheek facial wipes were also very easy to use and did a good job at removing make up and everyday grime off my face. I had not used facial wipes before and did find them time-saving and they would be handy to pack for holidays.

The day cream had a nice texture but does not have an SPF (sun protection factor) so I would be unlikely to purchase this product again.
