Pass the Pud - festive game

If you're looking for game for all the family with a seasonal theme, Pass the Pud is just the thing. Based on the ever-popular, Pass the Bomb, this word game means you have to "beat the burp".

Pass the Pud is designed for adults and children over the age of eight but as you play in teams, slightly younger children could be included. Four or more players divided into teams take the Pass the Pud challenge. There are four categories of questions on 110 cards:

• Things: give an example of the thing on the card. The next player has to give an answer with the next letter of the alphabet.
• Words: name a song or book that includes the word on the card.
• Connections: name an actor, character or association with the film named on the card.
• Clues: players must describe items listed to their team without actually saying the word.

And you have to answer the questions before the randomly-timed burp erupts, collecting the most "sixpences".

A Christmas game that will be played long after the festivities are over, Pass the Pud is great fun for those, like my family and friends, love playing word games.

Warning you will make sure you have three AAA batteries which the game needs.
