My
20 month old daughter recently started saying "
Bum, bum" just before she fills
her nappy – needless to I got very over-excited and went
potty shopping straightaway!
I was very surprised to see
how expensive some of the
leading brands are. Although I wanted something
substantial and
comfy-looking, I wasn't expecting to
spend more than
£10, but the
cheap potties seemed very flimsy by
comparison.
So I was
delighted to find the
Pourty Potty for only
£9.99. It's got a nice
wide rim for Eva to sit on but is
not so huge it takes over the bathroom. It comes in blue, pink or white and
most importantly has a very distinctive
moulded handle and
pouring spout feature to get rid of waste which seems like a
very sensible idea to me!
Eva is in the process of "
bonding" with her
Pourty Potty, and I think it will be a
while before we're using it in earnest. However, having
tried the
pouring spout with water, I am
confident that at least one of the
perils of
potty-training will not be an issue in our
house.
The
Pourty Potty, available in
three colours can be ordered from Amazon:
