Recommended for
3+ but of interest to any child from about
12 months, this talking dog asks for the
players to find the appropriate
coloured bone (or bone with particular number or letter) and "
bring it over".
The theory (
colour, number and
letter recognition) is relevant for a
pre-schooler and the
game is pretty good quality in terms of
robustness, with
two levels of play and switches itself off efficiently.
However the concept simply
failed to engage my children's attention – essentially it just was
not interesting enough to keep them
playing and searching for ten bones. My
one year old quite liked
Red Rover's incessant talking but my three year old didn't even
notice when he went
back in his box.
