Keeping your child protected from the sun
has almost become a full-time summer occupation – as well as prompting companies to come up with more and more products. Sun tents have been around for a while now and are an excellent idea.
The Mini UV Protector we tried from Shelta is perfect! I am always sceptical of instructions which say something can be assembled/erected in minutes as this is rarely my experience but this tent really does open up in seconds!
It has a unique pop-up mechanism which means the tent is easily erected by one person. Tent pegs are provided if you need them and there are sand pockets to keep the tent anchored in windy weather. We used the pockets for water bottles and some of our bits and bobs and that worked perfectly. The UV Mini Protector IPF50+ measures 120x120cms and although Shelta describes this size as suitable for two small children, Olivia, Harriet and I managed to sit in it quite comfortably sheltering from the wind on a Cornish beach.
The tent has side windows making it great for small children to play in – Harriet loves them – plus the UV Mini Protector IPF50+folds away just as quickly as it was erected.
PWT rating: ♥♥♥♥♥
The UV Mini Protector IPF50+ cost £40 and is available from Shelta.
