Celebrations and events are taking place around the world to mark
World Water Day and it is salutory to to realise that:
- 780 million people do not have access to clean water and
- 2.5 billion do not have access to adequate sanitation
- up to 90 per cent of waste water in developing countries flows untreated into rivers, lakes and the sea
- over 80 per cent of used water is not collected or treated
With those facts before us, we should all think of our own
water consumption and for those of us on
water meters there is an incentive to use or
waste less water on the one hand and to make the most of the qualities it has for maintaining
health and beauty.
In a previously
published article, Anna Selby gave her top ten tips for using water to boost your
health and vitality, and you can download her book,
Water Secrets The Simplest Way to Health and Beauty today for free. The ebook is published by
Endeavour Press.
