My
11 year-old daughter was
very pleased to receive the
High School Musical mini-locker and
Rocking Room Lamp.
The
locker is about
12 inches high, and great for
storing trinkets, odd
stationary items or
cards, etc. It is
decorated quite
simply with a
star, and
comes with a set of
stickers which can be used to
decorate further if
wanted. I think this
element of
customisation would be
appealing to many
children, but my
daughter opted for a simple design and
just stuck with the
star. A
padlock and key is
included. This would make a
great present for girls aged
12 and
under, and will probably be
happily received by the
parents too (anything which
helps keep my
children's many
possessions under
control is certainly most
welcome!). £14.99
The
Rockin Room Lamp consists of
two panels joined together,
one of which has a
poster style image of the
key players from
High School Musical. It can be
used as a
table lamp or can be
wall-mounted. The
bulb (included) is
small and my
daughter thought this
lamp should be used for just
decorative purposes, as the
light would not be
strong enough for
reading.
The
design is
striking and, according to my daughter,
"cool". Given the
popularity of this
musical with children from a
wide age range, this would make a
great present. It's also
gender neutral and I would
happily give this to
girls or
boys. I think it would be
gladly received by children aged
up to around
13. The packaging has the
normal warnings about keeping away from
small children, and is labelled as "
