To celebrate its unique family-approach to Catalan cuisine, Barcelona will be welcoming children aged ten and under to eat free on the Bank Holiday Monday, 5 May, as well as introducing a delicious new children’s menu for its anniversary.
The menu will be based around the restaurant’s original tapas dishes – using fresh and healthy ingredients to create an adventurous range of dishes that have enough familiar ingredients so as to not intimidate children, whilst still introducing them to a new cuisine.
Founded in 1991 by a father and son team of the late Martin Dalmau and David Dalmau, Barcelona began as a small family-run basement bar.
Today, it has grown to boast four thriving restaurants, yet refuses to stray from its family roots and is particularly adamant about this in its Dulwich restaurant, which boasts child-friendly seating, epitomizing the authenticity of Barcelona.
