Herbert Woods, a long established and respected boating company on the Norfolk Broads, will be celebrating its 90th birthday with a summer fete and celebratory Regatta at Potter Heigham on Sunday 10 July 2016 from 10am to 5pm.
Water frolics and racing of every nature will be the theme of this free entry family fun day out!
From stand up paddle boarding, canoe and dingy sailing races, making your own raft and racing it, edible boat racing and a rubber duck race are all on the agenda!
You can also enjoy river trips on board Herbert Woods’ cruiser Spark of Light.
Stalham Brass Band will be providing the music and there will be craft and gardening stalls together with Potter Heigham Church selling tea and cakes. There will also be a hog-roast.
On display will be some of Herbert Woods’ vintage boats including A Countess of Light and Lady sailing boats. Tom Corbett will be bringing the only surviving and original Starlight boat sitting alongside Herbert Woods’ newest day hire boat, Starlight 24 Picnic Boat.
