My son Jack and I went along to the
Hornby Tea Party at
Hamley's toy store in London, held to showcase
Hornby's official London 2012 range. The range includes
collectible figurines and keyrings of
Wenlock and
Mandeville, the London
2012 mascots.
Plus there were
die-cast buses and taxis, packs of five
racer cars, a train set and a
Team GB cycling velodrome scalextric. We were treated to a
guided tour of the store and the children had a chance to
play with the toys and to meet
Wenlock himself!
The
quality of the range is
extremely impressive there really is something for everyone. The
figurines are our
favourite and come in a
clear protective dome for display purposes which can be removed if required. The
velodrome has the usual fun of the original
Scalextric sets and will certainly appeal to
children and adults of all ages!
Jack and I
really enjoyed our morning at Hamleys. We had lots of fun in the store. The
Hornby range is a fantastic
momento of the
Olympics this year and will be loved by
children and adults alike.
