Harriet loved the last Barbie™ DVD we reviewed: Barbie™ in the Pink Shoes and it is still a great favourite, so I had an inkling she would be just as enthralled by Barbie™ & Her Sisters in A Pony Tale. In the Pink Shoes DVD we were on familiar territory, she has been to the ballet and also has ballet lessons, so I wasn't surprised that after watching Barbie's™ latest adventure she asked if she could go horse riding one day.
Set in a riding academy in the Swiss Alps, Barbie™ & Her Sisters in A Pony Tale, tells the delightful story of friendship between the sisters and their new pony pals. Each sister has her own story. Stacie™ enjoys showing off her equestrian skills, while Skipper™ records all of their adventures in her on her iPad. Chelsea™ has to come to terms with the fact that's she's the youngest and smallest sister and therefore cannot ride one of the large horses.
The story takes a magical turn when Barbie™ discovers a mysterious wild horse deep in the woods... but then they discover that the riding academy may have to be sold. To avoid that they must win the riding competition but someone else is determined to win by fair or foul means...
Barbie™ & Her Sisters in A Pony Tale will definitely appeal to Barbie™ fans and the storyline is strong enough to engage very young as well as primary aged children.
