We have already reviewed the smaller version of the B-Sensible fitted sheet/mattress protector for infants and small children who may have "accidents" during the night, but this is an excellent product for all the family.
Protecting mattresses is important for our own health as allergies from dust-mites are on the increase but there are also other more practical considerations especially for children approaching adolescence. Teenage and preteen girls who have started menstruating may start a period while in bed and need to change the sheet, just as boys have "nocturnal emissions" known as wet dreams. To avoid any embarrassment for your adolescents, they need to know that staining a sheet isn't a problem and have access to clean bedlinen.
B-Sensible breathable and waterproof fitted sheets are ideal as the fulfill two roles: both mattress protector and fitted sheet. They are eco-friendly as I have found they wash well at low temperatures and are tumble-dryable. It is also a 100 per cent European product.
The sheet is made with DERMOFRESH™ technology so the fabric has a two-way stretch and the micro-configuration means the fabric doesn't cause temperatures to rise and makes no noise. I can confirm that it is really lovely and comfortable to sleep on and, as it says on the box, the sheet is softer after the first wash.
My only criticism of the B-Sensible fitted sheet/mattress protector is rather "see-through" so that I can see the strips on the mattress through the sheet. However I was sent a white sheet and this may not be the case with darker colours of which there is a wide range.
