Halo is a new product which
kills the bacteria from our
sweat which are trapped in the weave of the fabric –
allowing the
clothing to breathe. It also
continues to work by leaving
behind
active agents in the clothing unlike most
detergents which mask these odours by leaving
soap residue behind. Three of the
PWT team tried
Halo out on their
laundry.
I tested the
Halo Proactive Sports Wash and the
Halo Non Bio Laundry liquids – available both in 1 litre bottles or 60ml
single use sachets, the latter perfect for use when
travelling. Both liquids have a pleasant,
fresh smell which was not over-powering and left
washing smelling
clean and fresh. In the absence of
sport clothes, I washed
sweaty, back from
holiday clothes with the
Proactive Sports Wash at 30 degrees and the results were
excellent. The non bio detergent is also
scientifically proven to kill hospital
bugs and
bacteria such as MRSA and C-Difficile.

I have tried each of these
Halo products on two separate occasions and every time the
clothes came out of the washing machine feeling and looking
really clean and smelling very
fresh. They were also
soft to touch and therefore there was
no need to add any
fabric softener. The
products were used on a normal weekly wash at a temperature of
30°, which is always a
bonus as this saves on
energy.
I don't have a great deal of
sportswear to wash each week, but in the wash using the
Proactive Sports Wash I did include a rather
dirty tracksuit and T-shirt and was
very pleased with the result, as
all the stains were successfully
removed.

We found
Halo was particularly
effective on stains on
baby clothes and bibs. And it's reassuring to know that it
kills bugs and
bacteria. In the absence of sports gear I used the
Sports Wash on the
dog's blanket and the cats'
fabric baskets and they all emerged from the washing machine
super clean!
