Buying a Tippitoes product does instil confidence. This chair is designed and tested to comply with British Standard BS En 13210:2004 – a long-winded way of saying that it conforms to every safety rule going. The whole chair folds neatly away for storage – so you can place it against a wall or behind a door – and it also has the handy feature of a removable tray. This sits inside the main tray and I found it particularly useful as it allows you to remove the remnants of a meal and pop it straight in the sink, leaving a nice clean space for a couple of toys to occupy Pippa while I tidy up.
The chair has a five-point safety harness which has been designed to allow for easy removal for washing. This is a very wise move as in the past we had borrowed a similar chair passed to us with really grubby straps which made the chair seem far older than it should! The footrest height can be adjusted as children grow and the colour on the seat pad is a fashionable tan with white spots, which should fit into most kitchen colour schemes – it also has the advantage of not being gender specific or over designed with fussy details which could trap food.
