I have had
problems with
blenders in the recent past having left a spoon in one (then turning it on!) and buying a cheap replacement which just died on me. So having been impressed with other Lakeland products like the
Dry Soon Heated Tower Dryer and the
Electric Cupcake Maker both of which are regularly used, I was keen to try the
Lakeland Power Blender.This
blender is heavy but it means it is really
stable when in use. It has
six settings from
purée to grate including an
ice-crushing setting which is great for the coming
party season! The
glass jug seems far more serviceable than the
plastic one's I've had previously and it holds up to
1.5 litres. There's also a
60ml feeder cup so you can add
ingredients as you blend for example in making
mayonnaise.
A
slight drawback is that
soups and
sauces have to be cooled to
room temperature before blending – I partially
solved this by using
less liquid in making
soup and then adding
ice cubes to cool it down. Of course this
wasn't a problem when making
smoothies.
A blender is an
essential kitchen item and the
Lakeland Power Blender performs well.
