Palmer's Coconut Body Butter, described as "luxuriously creamy", is indeed a very
nice product. I am trying to remember to apply to my
dry elbows and other parts of my body but where it is
scoring high points is the improvement it has made to my
hands. A cream
cannot work unless it is used and this is often where I
fall down. However now that I am
keeping it in my work bag, I am using it
frequently on my very
dry, rough hands. As a
clinical nurse, hand-washing is the cornerstone of i
nfection control. For me this can mean
washing hands up to
ten times in one afternoon. A large blob
applied at the end of my session is
very soothing and replaces much of the
moisture lost. The butter is not too greasy or slimy. It
absorbs well and has the distinctive,
pleasantly fragrant odour of coconut. I would
recommend this product to anyone with
dry skin.

I really loved
Palmer's Shea Body Butter which had a pleasant
banana-like, yet subtle and not sickly,
fragrance. It is
thick and rich but smoothes on incredibly well and a
little goes a
long way. It is great on
dry skin: I have had a patch of dry skin on my
knee that has persisted despite
daily application of my usual body moisturiser but this
disappeared within a
couple of days of using the Palmer's butter. I also found that it was
not at all greasy and absorbed really quickly. I'd
definitely buy this butter regularly.

The other weekend my
hands were literally
sore and hurting with
dryness. I applied
Palmer's Olive Body Butter and had immediate
relief. Use over a
couple of days saw a marked
improvement. On the container it says for
moderately dry or aging skin (whose isn't!) and it is made with
extra virgin oil and contains
vitamin E - two important
ingredients. In winter my
legs often get dry as well and they absorbed the
Olive Body Butter and felt nourished and
less taut. Great for using after removing
hard skin on your feet. A
great cream,
easily applied and absorbs quickly -
triple star!

Having used
Palmer's Cocoa Butter for about two weeks now, I am
pleased with the effect. The combination of the
specially formulated cocoa butter blended together with
moisture rich emollients and
vitamin E has had a soothing and
softening effect. I have spread it on to my
skin regularly after
showering and found that it is quickly and easily
absorbed. The cream is also
economical to use as it goes a long way. As well as
leaving my skin smooth, I would also
recommend use of the
Cocoa Butter to soften areas of particularly
rough, dry and flaky skin. In my case this is small areas affected by
psoriasis on my elbows and the rough,
hard skin on my heels.
