On
seeing the life size
Poppy Cat, Victoria made a beeline for the
soft toys. She stayed hidden behind
me whenever
Poppy Cat came near and refused all attempts for a cuddle. However, she was enthralled with the 48cm large talking
Poppy Cat toy and would not put it down. Other
toys in the range included the
five piece figure set of Poppy and friends,
Poppy Cat dominoes, the 22cm
Poppy Cat toy, as well as the
mini Poppy Cat and
Alma soft toys for smaller hands.
The
two new titles,
Poppy Cat: All Aboard
and
Poppy Cat: Blast Off caught
Victoria's eye whilst on display. They are attractive
story books; perfect for
toddlers
like Victoria who are full of energy and imagination and thus need
stories that
are going to keep their
full attention. Victoria
generally preferred to
hold the book on her lap, pretending to
read herself and
so during
Joanna Page's reading of the books, she was more interested in
playing
with the toys.
Poppy Cat, a hit show on
Nick Jr, ITV1, and
CITV, is based on the award-winning
children's books created by
Lara
Jones.
Poppy Cat books and toys are available from
John Lewis.
