This Fit for Life DVD from IMC Vision is a great way to get into shape. Exercise to do at home – whatever the weather.

These workouts are ideal if you can’t get out to do a class or want to supplement your practice between classes. Although it may take a little more self-discipline to to exercise at home (I would recommend scheduling time into your day in advance as you plan your week), I do think you can achieve a more peaceful and beneficial environment than some of the classes I have attended, some of which have been badly organised and rather noisy!
Having bought the DVD you have no other expense. Use a yoga mat or a thick towel and wear some comfortable clothes and choose your own time.
One of the nicest things about this DVD is the wonderful way Roxy Shahidi presents her workouts. She has a melodious voice which is both reassuring and encouraging without sounding like a cheerleader.
Her introduction cites the three Ps:
which let’s face it apply to anything you want to achieve in life. She also states that you should challenge but not push yourself too far, focus on the breath and “I know this sounds cheesy but smile when the practice is really challenging.”
If you’ve done any yoga or body conditioning classes these exercises will be familiar to you. However even a novice to yoga should be able to follow Roxy’s lead. If you are new to yoga I'd recommend that you watch the DVD through before starting yourself. Just listening to the music and Roxy's voice will relax you.
So if you want to improve your overall fitness, feel energised and tone your body, following Roxy’s Yoga Conditioning Total Body Workout will help. Yoga is ideal for reducing stress – something we all have too much of in our lives. I’d definitely recommend this DVD.
