Apparently
anyone who is anyone – from John Barrowman to Carol McGriffin – is using the
Shake Weight! In fact it has come in for some
ridicule for being sexually suggestive... I must admit that
passed me by!
The
Shake Weight is billed as a revolutionary way to
shape and tone arms and work out your
upper body in just six minutes a day! Well, even I can
manage that short time. In fact I love
products that promise you
results within a certain time frame.
Six minutes - a piece of cake. Don't be fooled – after your allotted time with the
Shake Weight you really will
feel that you have been working those arms.
Apparently the
technology of the design means that it creates
240 muscle contractions per minute and is
300 per cent more effective than traditional weights. Whether this is true or not, few of us have
traditional weights to hand so anything that
helps us exercise more is a bonus.
So how does the
Shake Weight shape up? Well
exercise alone won't achieve the body beautiful. You have to combine this with a
healthy eating programme. If you can't get to a
gym why not try it? Whatever its detractors say,
Dr Lee Berk, Californian scientist, has released his
research showing that the effects of
laughter mirrored those of
repetitive exercise. So if using the
Shake Weight makes you laugh -
double benefits!
The
Shake Weight comes with a
DVD to demonstrate the
most effective ways of using it to exercise.
Shake Weight is available to buy from
Amazon.
