When the
sun comes out one day in the UK, there are a lot of
red faces and bodies the following day. It seems we
never learn. At a very sunny
daytime party recently I left my
Simple Sun Sensitive Protecting Suncare Lotion on a table. A few people did
use it - but most, I noticed, didn't
apply enough for it to be really
effective!You have to
apply sunscreen
generously – about two to
three tablespoons of product for the entire body - and
take care not to miss areas like the
back of the knees and neck and your
feet. Apply before going out into the
sun and reapply
hourly or after
swimming. These products are
water resistant for 40 minutes - that means
while you are in the water.
Drying off means you
rub away the product and need to put some more on.
The
Simple products I have been using are
quickly absorbed so you don't get
white patches on your skin and,
important for someone like me who is rather
sensitive to perfumes, they are
fragrance-free and contain no nasty
chemicals. The
factor 15 version contains
Green Tea while the
factor 30 uses
Sunflower "for natural defence". The lotions
soften and smoothe the skin at the same time as
protecting them and within the range there's a great
Moisturising Aftersun Lotion containing aloe vera.
I particularly like the
Facial Hydrolotion (a little goes a long way here) and the
Lip Balm Stick - amazing how quickly
lips dry out in the sun! And, of course, the wonderful thing about all
Simple products is the fact that they are
great for anyone with
sensitive skin.
