When asked to try out Slendesse Slimming Leggings I was very keen, as anything that might help tone and firm up the flabby middle-aged figure has got to be a bonus as far as I am concerned!
These leggings are recommended as having:
I did find the seamless nature of the leggings extremely comfortable and didn’t feel I was wearing them. They did smooth the contours of my body although whether they actually enhanced my figure is, in my case, debatable!
The leggings work on the principle that there are caffeine and shea butter microcapsules embedded into the fabric, which are released into the leg and thighs as a result of body heat. This promotes the body’s metabolism to start burning fat. This microcapsule remains active for up to 21 washes.
The major problem I found with the leggings was that it took me about 42 days to try them out as I was unable to get them dry overnight. The instructions on the garment clearly stated that they should not be put in a tumble dryer.
I guess it would have been easier if they could have been hung fairly near a radiator but when I was testing them, I hadn’t yet switched the central heating on. Therefore ideally to test these leggings more effectively one definitely needs two pairs.
Apparently it has been proven that they can decrease the waistline by up to 5cm and the hips by up to 1.6cm. In my case I don’t think there was any reduction from my hips although there did seem to be about a 1.5cm loss from the waist.
