Justin Fletcher is a natural children's
performer. Whether it's his appealingly childish sketch show,
Gigglebiz, which draws plaudits from our
six year and
three year-old alike (and is frequently Pippa's
most requested show), his regular presenting duties on
Tikkabilla or his much gentler show
Something Special, he has a
strong appeal to the very young.
As its name suggests,
Something Special is the award-winning
BBC TV series using
Makaton sign language and is aimed at children with
learning and
communication difficulties, but has also proved incredibly
popular with many other
pre-school viewers. The programme is
inclusive in its approach and
Toby and
Pippa find it very funny.
The eight
episodes on the new DVD:
Time for Mr Tumble focus on everyday aspects of young
childrens’ lives and feature Mr Tumble, Lord Tumble, Aunt Polly and Grandad Tumble. Episodes include
Nature Trail, Play, Sport, Village Fete,
Festival, London, Art and Baby.
Something Special is a gentle and
engaging programme for pre-schoolers and Mr Tumble aka Justin Fletcher is something of a
hero in our and many households!
A lovely DVD for pre-schoolers.
