I love the appearance of a tan but have been to too many seminars on the damage sun can do to our skin to want to ciultivate a real tan. Besides which I don't have enough time and the sun doesn't shine very often at the moment. So fake tans win hands down for me.
Vita Liberata promises:
As with many things in life preparation is essential so at least 24 hours before using Vita Liberata deeply moisturise your skin and don't apply any more moisturiser until after the you have finished the procedure.
Just before applying the Gel or Mousse shower and exfoliate. I used Calcot Manor Gentle Salt Scrub available from Tesco. Then make sure your body is completely dry before applying Moment by Moment Self Tan Mousse. Use a mitt to apply (Vita Liberata have a Tanning Mitt) or wash your hands every two to three minutes. Both the Gel and Mousse are tinted so you can see where you have applied. Wait between one and three hours depending on how dark you want your tan and then shower.
The showering is really important for making the tan even - some colour will come off so make sure you rinse really well and use a dark towel to dry off just in case.
I was a little disappointed at first with a few darker patches but taking my shower the next morning resolved the situation so probably I should have showered more effectively the first time! Vita Liberata
