Having
embarked on
potty training - I wanted a
travel potty that
was
easy to use, could be
hidden away easily and be
kept clean. I
had almost accepted that the smell of wee might follow me around for the next
few months as the endless amount of clean leggings and knickers were soaked
through by Harriet, but I was determined that I would not be carrying around a
smelly potty or be responsible for watering local trees!
The
Tippitoes Travel Potty at £5.99 is a
good price and the
potty rim can be easily
parted with the
base to remove the liners
. The Travel Potty Liners, designed
to fit this
potty, easily slot between the two parts of the
potty and can
also be
tied up and disposed of – a godsend, as Harriet thoroughly enjoys
having an audience when on the
potty and
showing the contents to everyone!
It
also means that one
does not need to search for a
toilet to empty into. The
liners have a brilliant
soak pad in each bag which means that the majority of
the
urine is absorbed,
preventing spillages and also if it is only "a dribble"
as Harriet calls it, the bag can be
reused.
The
only
down side is the
plastic pack the potty comes in ripped after a
few days
of use and the
potty is not as
compact as I would have preferred – it has added
to the amount of
paraphernalia I now carry about!
Also
as the
liners are disposable, the
potty is perhaps not
cost effective as a
whole. Each
ten pack of liners is £3.99 and at the moment Harriet gets through
quite a few!
Overall
I do
recommend this potty for its ease of use and practicality.
