With reality
TV shows like
Strictly having popularised
ballroom dancing, this is a timely entrance for
Waltzing Classics. From Strauss II's
By the Beautiful Danube to Waldteufel's
The Skater's Waltz, with everything in between including
Pas de Quatre from The Sleeping Beauty, this is the ultimate collection from
Classic FM.
Before listening to
Waltzing Classics, I had no idea that so many
musical compositions were classed as waltzs – but who cares, this collection will
lift your spirits and bring a
smile to your face as you
recognise one tune and
learn to love another.
There are
15 tracks on each disc of this
Classic FM collection which culminates in
I Could Have Danced All Night. This is
great music for kids to move around to – you're not on
TV so it doesn't matter if you don't know
the steps but you could always get the children to
dress up on a wet afternoon and
burn off some calories dancing
as well as have some fun time listening to
great music.
