Booktrust announces shortlist for Teenage Prize 2007

Booktrust* Teenage Prize which recognises and celebrates the best contemporary fiction for teenagers has shortlisted the following books:
  • The Medici Seal by Theresa Breslin (Doubleday)
  • Leaving Poppy by Kate Cann  (Scholastic)
  • The Penalty by Mal Peet (Walker Books)
  • Here Lies Arthur by Philip Reeve (Scholastic)
  • Just in Case by Meg Roscoff (Penguin)
  • My Swordhand is Singing by Marcus Sedgwick (Orion)
PWT's panel of teenagers is currently reading these books and will vote to decide which book is, in their opinion, the best. The result will be published at the same time as the winner is announced by Booktrust.
