In the UK there are 50,000 children and young people accessing palliative care services every year. Every child has a dream and Dreams Come True fulfils the dreams of some of these terminally and seriously ill children, bringing joy and creating lasting memories for them and their families.
Currently 201 dreams are being worked on, which will cost approximately £502,500 to fund. The Dream Tea’s goal is to raise funds to provide the power of dreams to all these children and we are hoping to inspire the nation to organise Afternoon Dream Teas around the country to help play a part in making dreams come true.
Fundraising packs
Dream Tea can be as big or as small as the host desires – from a ten minute tea break with work colleagues, to an indulgent vintage-inspired tea party or a school cake sale. Fundraising packs are available from Dreams Come True and downloadable from the website, providing a range of fun ideas on how to raise money, such as guessing the weight of a cupcake and detailing how to ask for a small contribution from your guests. It couldn’t be easier.
